Process of Opening Company in Duqm Special Economic Zone

1. Submit Application Form

The investor needs to submit the Plot Application Form in to the SEZAD authority confirming the intention to start a business along with company incorporation form.

2. Submit Supporting Documents

Applicants must submit all the required documents along with application form for the purpose of due diligence.

3. Obtain Initial approval & Pay fees

After successfully completing the necessary due diligence by the SEZAD team, an initial approval will be provided to the applicant to establish a new business in Duqm free zone. An agreement must be made with the authority confirming the terms of lease and related fees etc. No objection Certificate may need to be obtained by the Ministry of Climate. Necessary fees (equivalent to first quarter of lease) need to paid to the authority.

4. Plot Allocation

After the completion of the approval and other formalities, the authority shall allocate a plot based on the requirements and agreed terms.

5. Setup Business Operations

The applicant to initiate the set up of the business in Duqm and proceed to open a bank account along with obtaining other auxiliary services.
